Such a generous distribution of an unannounced flagship is just part of the story of how Google once again tried to create pieces of iron and what came of it. But here I am getting a little ahead of myself, since I need to first discuss the device, its capabilities, and then move on.

It makes no sense to pay attention to the build quality, this is not a final device, it is de facto assembled by hand, hence the gaps between the panels, which is quite normal. The device will be available in several colors, while a decision is made on two – black and white. The younger Pixel has a similar design, and I like it.
One thing that can’t be taken away from the Pixel is how it compares to other flagships, it’s a completely different aesthetic. Plastic stands against the glass, and it is unusual, both in the hands and when looking at it, this difference is clearly visible.
In absentia, the Pixel 3XL is scolded by many for its appearance, but you get used to it instantly, I use Note 9 all the time, and the Pixel dimensions are excellent for me, there is nothing unexpected here. It is pleasant in the hands, fits well in the palm.
The mint button is a nice accent that brings the design to life.
I confess that I do not like the cutouts for the front speaker and cameras, which began to be copied from the iPhone X, this is a kind of collective farm. It is fully present in the 3XL, and here the depth of this neckline is such that you can already swing.
Is it correct? I think not, it would be possible to solve the issue differently, to hide the speakers, as well as the front camera, in a different way. But the engineers took the path of least resistance, which is frustrating. Since the development of the device began at the beginning of the year, there could not be any new chipsets in it, by definition, here is Snapdragon 845.
The device’s performance on pure Android 9 is excellent, you just won’t notice any problems, everything is fast and good. 4GB memory, 64GB built-in memory, this is the simplest version. It will be possible to buy a more advanced version, but this does not make much sense, except for the presence of more memory, since 64 GB in the flagship is indecently small, as for me.
The example of the Note 9 and Galaxy S10, where the base versions have 128GB of storage, prove that this is a must for such devices.
The absence of memory cards has already become a kind of sign of such devices, there is also one slot for nanoSIM. Alas and ah.
HTC engineers, who are now working inside Google, have created an EDGE sensor, it reacts to the compression of the case, but, unlike HTC U12, there are much fewer options and settings, everything is very austere.
In the Pixel lineup, the hardware has always been very ascetic, praised these devices for the camera and software from Google, which pulled pictures to something very, very interesting.
